TomBlog - no rest for the wicked

Enroute to Annapolis to do a radio show on a roof. I appear to have lost my voice. Where its gone, nobody knows. We just came from Bonnaroo and then did a show last night with The Magic Numbers in Nashville. Bonnaroo was rough and ready, but fun nonetheless. Last night was a bit of a drunken car crash, the world in slow motion as musical manglement transpired..... but fun nonetheless. The Magic Numbers are lovely, lovely people and a splendid day was had by all. Boston awaits.
The world cup is a constant source of entertainment, although, with the exception of Argentina, noone appears to be really any good. I'm hoping Sven'll play Carrick behind Gerrard and Lampard against Sweden, but we can but dream. I have a good rant about how England don't need a coventional striker with Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard all attacking, but I'll save you the extremely boring details. Or maybe not.

Dear Sven,

please play this team.

thanks,

Tommy Gomez x

We look forward to Boston! Take good care of the voice- there is a lot of info on the web and maybe you can figure out whether it's related to overuse or laryngitis. Good luck and see you soon!

hey Tom...great set @ Bonnaroo...the webcast was awesome.

Yer harmony vocals were a bit flat toward the end of the set...I mean REALLY flat and noticable.

Oh well. That's rock n roll.

Second of all, phonic, Donovan is the most overrated player ever. His first touch is atrocious.

First of all, Tom, I had hopes for a similar English lineup, man. Don't give up on the dream. One day Sven will realize that the only time England has played well was when Aaron Lennon terrorized the right flank in the second half against T&T and opened up that entire side of the field for Becks to fill in and loft leisurely crosses into the box. Hopefully the day Sven realizes this (or realises) won't be two months from now when he's been canned for England's poor Round of 16 showing.

Anyways...
