TomBlog - in scouse land

UK tour day 4: three hot and heavy gigs later, here we are in Liverpool. One of the most beautiful days of the year and the liverpool academy must prepare itself to be duly rocked. Nice, if slighty baked, audiences have greeted us each night. Our bus is really a scandinavian sauna with wheels. Sleep has been extremely rare and damp. However, last night Mr. Jerry Hawkins put the stage fans on the bus and created a gale that registered on the beaufort scale. 9 hours of kip under my belt and today I feel like a new man. Adding to that sense of well-being I've been eating fruit like a crazy person. Mango, tangerine, banana, kiwi, pomegranite and blueberry all featuring in my day's diet. Now to re-tox.

What's the deal with Jerry?? I thought he was now with Audioslave? Is he just moonlighting with you guys for the time being?? Is that him that I see, in the MSN video from Sasquatch, hovering around Olly during your set? Good Man!

Hello guys! Great gig last night! I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon interviewing Ben and Blackie, I was present at the soundcheck and then photographed the gig. It was an experience, but as Tom said 'fucking hot!' Thank you guys for a great day, and your great music - Sound Of Sounds was something else. love Will, Lancaster

I've been to see some amazing bands in my time (Radiohead, Manics, Chilis to name a few - ooh and Kajagoogoo - they were great - especially when he fell off the stage) but I have never heard a band play with such passion and your talent is just staggering.

I've listened over and over to the Live at the Fillmore cd and knew that you were going to be good, but I was just amazed at just how good you were!

I was at the aftershow party (thanks to Ians dad - cheers for that!) and I have some utterly mortifying photos of me looking like a psycho stalker - poor Ben looks petrified. My friends were pissing themselves. I would have loved to talk to you about the gig but I didn't have the bottle!

Told Blackie that we'd been next to him in Concert Square earlier and were all squabling over whether it was him or not - and that we Googled him on a mobile and was holding the photo up in his direction and nudging each other like big kids - poor guy just wanted to have a pint! Please pass on sincere apologies - this is what comes of having vodka and chips for dinner...

Thanks for a fantastic experience - I hope the new album brings you all the recognition you deserve and I hope that I get to see you all again!

Cheers!
Jacqui

Caught your Sheps bush gig last night (12th Jun), not seen you lads play in a couple of years, and you sealed my view of Gomez yet again. Awesome set lads, truly wicked - loved the comedy of Ruff Stuff. My mrs came along too, never seen you play before and is now a firm fan. Bring It On boys, keep on truckin.
