TomBlog - my life in the bush of ghosts

This is interesting. My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts has been reissued and you can download the multitracks of two tracks as part of the licensing. Its a record David Byrne and Brian Eno made 25 years ago. I've 'heard' about the multitracks from other classic sessions floating about illegally, but I think this is the first legitimate attempt to pull it off. Hopefully it'll make for a fascinating insight into a cool record.

While speaking of Byrne, when are you going to cover Psycho Killer as performed in "Stop Making Sense" at one of your shows. I've given much thought about it(at least 3 minutes) and I've decided that you Tom would be the best in performing it although Ian has the toothpick build of Byrne minus the height.

So, really, if Ian stood on Ben, in front of Tom, it'd be perfect.

No, do Life During Wartime complete with dance manouevres.

Or stick Ian in Ben's suit for a version of Girlfriend is Better.

Or don't.

David Byrne has a nice web site: http://journal.davidbyrne.com/

That remixing thing reminds me of this cool web site Neil Finn had up for a while. Somebody got into Flash or something and there were all these sounds associated with graphical doohickeys that you could manipulate and move around to mix into interesting visual and audial creations. It used to be at nilfun.net (which is now home to some promotional junk that has nothing to do with Mr. Finn). If you ever make your web site that cool you too could post individual tracks and let us mix Gomez songs (hint hint).
