"Going Up The Country"(by Canned Heat, performed by Ian Ball) seguing into->"Seven" tease(by Prince, peformed by Bally)->Notice(Nice song Ian). Also, for good measure you should totally cover "And She Was" by Talking Heads" because I think you'd peform it brilliantly solo. If I was from Melbourne/Sydney or had the money to see you solo I would since you'll never be performing in Connecticut for a solo show and who knows when you'll be back in NYC.

My flatmate, Claire, who is wonderful, would muchly like to hear Rosalita. (on April 4, though I'm trying to get her come to the 3rd as well) We're also thinking, as we sit in bed eating cookies, that it would be great if you were to cover 'something Australian', like Zebra, by John Butler Trio, or Down Under by the legendary Men at Work.

Personally, I have a special place in my heart for Neutron Dance after hearing the recording from Hotel Cafe, but I think, maybe if I was to choose a cover myself, it would be Girl (by the Beatles, for those who aren't aware.) Or Norwegian Wood, if that's less trouble. I feeling oddly compelled to mention Hey Little Girl and I Ran (So Far Away), and agree enthusiastically with GS ^ on And She Was.

Of course, then there's The Failure Song, and Hamoa Beach, and Devil WIll Ride, and the ever-requested Flavours and Buena Vista. It'd also be cool to hear your interpretation of Even Song. And I could keep going on, but I'm not gonna. See you in Melbourne on the 3rd and 4th, sorry in advance if the weather is a bit shit.

If I was going - damn plan ticket costs - I'd definitely say Failure. Also, I second the Talking Heads suggestion, anything by Talking Heads covered by Gomez is damn fine. As Leocadia suggested, something Australian covered would be kick ass, possibly something by The Sleepy Jackson for suggestion purposes, Mini-Skirt or All The Rage by Gelbison. Six Degrees Of Ian Ball?

I request Hamoa Beach with backup by Nadav, Edo and Oldman River then you can all play what you feel like playing cause that always sounds best. Sadly I would miss this beautiful thing even if it did occur so you are free ignore me if you wish.

Good call on Chicken Out. Just a few came to mind: Pop Juice, Bol Weavil, Buena Vista, Nothing Is Wrong, Do's and Dont's, Extra Special Guy, Cry On Demand, Charley Patton Songs, Hamoa Beach.

Covers ideas: Wilco, Beck, Zutons, Mraz. What do you want play Ian?!

Trans-Europe Express would be awesome, or Pocket Calculator. Movin On Up by Primal Scream would be fun too. I'm the crazy dude in the orange shirt from the NYC show so I won't be able to see it, but maybe I'll be able to hear it if you know what I mean.

Nice one E. Do 'sixteen tonnes' at the Hoey again. That was awesome.

Or, you know, 'Bring Your Lovin Back Here' or 'In Our Gun' would do.

Please play "Shake it and Break it" by Charley Patton if you know it and can show it.This is my fav Patton song. I got a feelin you love it too.

Natetron of Edmonton and Melbourne

"You can shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
Throw it out the window, catch it 'fore it roll
You can shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
...it out the window, catch it 'fore it falls
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

Everybody have a jelly roll like mine, I lives in town
I, ain't got no brown, I, an' I want it now
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

You can snatch it, you can grab it, you can break it, you can twist it,
any way that I love to get it
I, had my right mind since I, I blowed this town
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

Jus' shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
.. it out the window, catch it 'fore it falls
You can break it, you can hang it on the wall
...it out the window, catch it 'fore it...
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

I ain't got nobody here but me and myself
I, stay blue all the time, aw, when the sun goes down
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

You can shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
... it out the window, catch it 'fore it fall
You can break it, you can hang it on the wall
...it out the window, catch...
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

You can snatch it, you can grab it, you can break it, you can twist it,
any way that I love to get it
I, had my right mind, I, be worried sometime
'Bout a jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

Just shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
... it out the window, catch it 'fore it falls
You can break it, you can hang it on the wall
...it out the window, catch it 'fore it falls
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

I know I been to town, I, I walked around
I, start leavin' town, I, I fool around
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

Just shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
... it out the window, catch it 'fore it falls
You can break it, you can hang it on the wall
...it out the window, catch it 'fore it...
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it fall

Jus' shake it, you can break it, you can hang it on the wall
... it out the window, catch it 'fore it...
My jelly, my roll, sweet mama, don't let it..."

so good!

Bally, play "when the going gets tough" or "young boys are my weakness" in Melbourne. Those Victorians love that kind of shit. Sheila

why does australia get such royal treatment as to suggest songs : (

well, if I may be so bold as to make this a place to make requests for the US too

for the love of god people, get some "who's gonna go the bar" out there. Im getting old and tired, and I need a little more inspiration to get hammered.

or "dire tribe" and then Ill just get real stoned.

thank you.
