Blackie Blogg- New fizzy drink idea!
As I was laying in bed this morning I had a great idea for a new fizzy drink. I was running through the festivals we'd played this year when Pukkelpop came to mind. It got me thinking about how all the juice is usually wasted at the end of a jar of pickled onions. Well, just carbonate this solution & there you have it-PICKLE POP ANYONE? Could be a mixer for martinis?

Hopefully the gig tonight (hammersmith) will be less pongy than the sound of that drink...I will be there front right, dooby in hand, beer in the other - if you fancy a toke gimme a holla, i will throw it your way!!
that sound mingin - i am sat here at work and that almost made me dry wretch....I am sure the gig tonight (hammersmith) will be 1001 times better than your new drink would taste. I find it curious that when people try and post something, and they think it didn't work, their duplicate post is always a few words different. Like they thought the fact that posting failed was a 'sign' that their syntax was a bit off, so they changed it.
PS I think water with a pickled onion in it is fair punishment for someone who won't take a drink now and then. It sounds far worse than a martini with a pickled onion in it, anyway.

This reminds me of a very funny Candid Camera clip I saw years ago: A little girl was handed a jar of whole pickles. The pickles were wedged into the jar so tightly that she couldn't pull one out with her little fingers. But that didn't stop her from trying, and trying, and trying. She really wanted one of those pickles. Finally she just tipped the jar up to her mouth and drank the juice. Ahhhh!
AAAAH! there's NOTHING like a dinner of pickled onions and cornichons... except for a dinner of pickled onions and cornichons with a creative dry pickled onion martini on the side!!! i'd drink it!!!
All I can say is, YUM! A 'Dirty Martini' is made with olive juice. We could call it the 'Blackie Martini'. I'm going to try it now, I think. Cheers & see you in San Diego!
